Though thieves are not tolerated in the neighborhood and deserve harsh punishments in order to stop instilling fear in the public, taking the law into one’ s own hands to slaughter and kill these criminals is something that the police also do not tolerate.

At Ologuneru, some people attacked the boys, but police officers rescued them. When some people following them on commercial motorcycles beat and stripped the duo naked near WAEC junction, the policemen who had earlier rescued them at the scene of the crime in Ologuneru decided to leave, leaving them at the mercy of the mob.
Some of those following them from Ologuneru, as well as some Okada riders, overpowered them (suspects) here and interrogated them.
They admitted to being from the Agodi Gate area and specializing in motorcycle theft. The Okada riders used petrol from their tanks to burn them after they became very weak as a result of the severe beating. We immediately called the police to help, but there was no response. ” Baloga told the story.
