On a domestic flight, Vice President Dr. Mahamadu Bawumia was sighted in the cabin.
According to a picture posted on social media by journalist Manasseh Azure Awuni, the flight to Tamale took off early on Saturday, November 26. Bawumia gets buckled up in the Africa World Embraer 145 aircraft with a smile on his face. He is alone in the double row of seats, and his security assistant is seated just behind him. Manasseh wrote in the photo’s caption, “This morning, an unexpected passenger joined those of us on board Africa World’s Embraer 145 commercial flight to Tamale.
The article continued, “I don’t know how frequently it occurs, but this is the first time I have heard or seen Ghana’s vice president or president on a local commercial flight.
The image has elicited mixed reactions, with some admiring his gesture and others rejecting it as mere theater and braggadocio. Others are reminded of how many leaders in other jurisdictions go to and from work on bicycles, buses, and trains. Find the image that Manasseh shared here:

So make the vice President ride bicycle from Accra to Tamale?

Context is key Ma guy. He made the tweet in a certain context. If you apply that, you would realize that it isn’t any different from those riding bicycles elsewhere

Nanka Veep 3nnanti nkc ne kurom tamale? • No one said it’s a major achievement. And so coming to tell us others ride bicycle is also needless

It is newsworthy because of where we are coming from. Making it newsworthy doesn’t mean those whose job it is to cut cost should automatically stop. It only means this is what the people want to see and so they can only be encouraged to continue. This shouldn’t even be dragged
