Otto Addo, the Black Stars’ head coach, acknowledges that he is afraid of the threat that South Korea’s Son Heung-min might pose in the 2022 World Cup encounter between Ghana and the Black Stars on Monday.

The 30-year-old Tottenham forward and Otto Addo allegedly spent time together at Hamburger SV in Germany when Otto Addo was an assistant coach and later an interim coach. Otto Addo claims to be quite familiar with the player.

He responded that the Black Stars will attempt to thwart any Taegeuk Warriors attacks when asked about his combat plan against the Asians.

At the pre-game press conference, Addo stated, “I can’t talk about the game plan for tomorrow, but I have an idea of what we are going to do.

“We’ll work to stop all crimes against Korea. Son is a highly talented player; I am familiar with him from our time together in Germany.

Ghana’s first game was a 3-2 loss to Portugal on Thursday, so they will need to defeat South Korea at the Education City Stadium to get back on track.

After the opening round of games, the Black Stars are at the bottom of Group H. Portugal is in first place in the group with three points, followed by Uruguay and South Korea, each with one.
