The interior of Jackie Appiah’s house went viral on social media, sparking a debate about how most women in Ghana become wealthy.
Following the actress’s plush residents breaking the internet, there has been a split in opinion about the source of wealth of some female celebrities.
According to the musician, it is unfortunate that people claim well-to-do women in the country mostly become wealthy through dubious means.
“It’s sad because there are women who are making it through hard work and simply going through life,” she said in an interview with Amansan Krakye on Kastle FM in Cape Coast.
Although she believes people have the right to their opinions, she believes they should not jump to conclusions about issues they are unfamiliar with.
“As a result, people should not rush to judgment, but at the same time, people have their own opinions.”
“Most of the time, these opinions are false, so people should just mind their own business.”
On the same topic, broadcaster Nana Aba Anamoah advised people who always suggest that any wealthy Ghanaian became wealthy through dubious means to change their ways.
When a man achieves financial success, many people in the country claim, without evidence, that it is due to illicit drug dealings, according to her. While other men are thought to make money through sakawa, according to Nana Aba, most women’s success in the country is also attributed to prostitution.
