Black Sherif, a pioneer and singer from Ghana, has received recognition from BBC 1 Xtra for being one of the artists to watch on the station’s coveted Hotfor2023 program.

Blacko was selected alongside a number of outstanding musicians who, in the opinion of the British black music powerhouse, are expected to soar in 2023 and beyond.

The popular British female quartet Flo, Doechi, Cristale, Nemzz, Ayra Starr, and Debbie are just a few of the musicians who made the list.

The Villain I Never Was, the debut studio album by Black Sherif, which he released in 2022 and is still charting on various digital streaming services, was a huge success.

He was a successful event headliner in both Ghana and the UK, and he gave a standout performance at the main stage of the 25th MOBO Awards at the OVO arena in Wembley, UK.
